Turkey: Flood deaths rise to at least 44 as rescuers push on

Torrential rains that pounded the Black Sea provinces of Bartin, Kastamonu and Sinop on Wednesday triggered flooding that demolished residences, severed at minimum five bridges, swept absent cars and rendered a lot of roadways unpassable. Turkish catastrophe company AFAD reported 36 men and women ended up killed in Kastamonu, 7 in Sinop and 1 in Bartin.
