GREENVILLE, S.C. — Former South Carolina lawyer Alex Murdaugh is in custody following condition law enforcement arrested him on felony expenses tied to the insurance proceeds from the death of his family’s former housekeeper.
Murdaugh has been charged with two felony counts of acquiring assets by false pretenses, in accordance to a statement introduced Thursday morning from the Condition Law Enforcement Division.
He was taken into regulation enforcement custody Thursday morning after his release from a drug rehabilitation facility in Orlando, Florida, in accordance to SLED.
