SBI hikes interest rates on short-term fixed deposits. Details here


India largest loan company, the Point out Lender of India (SBI), on Saturday declared that it has increased desire charges on fastened deposit (FD) by up to 10 basis points or .10%.

In accordance to the SBI site, the interest price on fixed deposits for tenure 1 12 months to less than 2 decades has been greater to 5.1% from 5.%. For senior citizens the charge is increased from 5.50% to 5.60%. 

This interest amount is applicable on FDs beneath 2 crore.

The new amount is successful from 15 January 2022.

The curiosity charges on FD of other tenure stays unchanged. 

SBI features the highest curiosity charge of 5.40% on FD for tenure from 5-10 decades. .

For FD of tenure two years to much less than 3 yrs, the fascination level stands 5.10%. For tenure of three a long time to considerably less than five decades the fascination rate is 5.30%.
